MAJOR CRIME INVESTIGATIONS

Major crimes are on the rise in the Caribbean region.  This has the ability to affect not just the sanctity and peace of the islands but also their economic development. Many serious crimes such as murders, illegal drug trafficking, human trafficking, sex offences, general and gun-related robberies can occupy much of the attention of law enforcement as well as affect the psyche of the population.

How can law enforcement officials grapple with investigations effectively so that perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice?

This course will provide an international approach to crime scene investigations.

LECTURER’S INFORMATION

Mr. Pedro R. Delgado, MPA is currently an Adjunct Professor in Criminal Justice at the prestigious Barry University and Carlos Albizu University, USA respectively. In addition, he is a Police Instructor at Miami Dade College School of Justice for over twenty years and also works in the West Miami Police Department for almost twenty years. He has been a Police Captain since 2001. Mr. Delgado is very experienced in a wide range of criminal investigations, firearms, police supervision and related fields. He has over ten years experience in the US Army including responsibilities for training, criminal intelligence, special agents and special response among many other areas.
