Accident and Incident Investigations

Incident and accidents are daily occurrences in the workplaces worldwide. It can range from very minor (like a "near-miss") to catastrophic. An investigation is an "after the fact" response, and is a process that uncovers hazards or problems that can be eliminated to prevent similar recurrences.

This course presents a practical approach to investigating workplace incidents and accidents by emphasizing how to find the root cause(s), conduct an investigation and make effective recommendations to prevent similar occurrences from happening again.

Security Supervision - Transitioning from Officer to Supervisor Level

The course also focuses on coaching persons to deal with their new supervisory duties and responsibilities and to guide them in understanding the difference between operating in the mindset and at the level of a junior officer. The course will also teach techniques in which the “supervisor” may be able to conceptualise and internalise the new role of “supervisor” and harness the experience as an “officer” to the benefit of the officer individually and the organization as a whole.
