COURSE DESCRIPTION: For all businesses, sales is the fundamental and most essential aspect of operations. Sales are conducted in a variety of ways. However, many businesses employ salespersons both at the business establishment itself as well as those that “hit the streets” throughout Trinidad and Tobago depending on the product being sold. This will include sale of both goods and services. Salespersons often use their private motor vehicle, company vehicle, public transport, walk, etc. to do such trade.

In Trinidad and Tobago in recent times, there has been an increase in the number of incidents in which salespersons have been attacked, robbed, assaulted and even killed while conducting their sales.

This life-saving course presents to participants the full range of security risks that salespersons face on a daily basis as they go about their daily routines. It also discusses some of the most contemporary ways in which salespersons are being targeted and attacked. The courses delves heavily into the multiplicity of DOs and DONTs that all salespersons should know and follow to protect first themselves and then the goods and services under their possession. Essentially, it tackles what to do before, during, and after a security threat or actual incident in conducting sales. COURSE DESCRIPTION: As warehouses and their contents are vital physical assets of companies, all steps must be instituted to ensure their safety. This course tackles firsthand what are the various security risks and threats that frequent warehouses be they internal and external vulnerabilities. These may include but are not limited to pilferage, theft and trespasses. Warehouses are also manned and operated by people who also need a level of protection. This will be addressed.

Further, the course delves heavily into the various strategies and techniques to prevent and manage such threats. This will include traditional, technological and management-related solutions. Given that warehouses can be used to store a wide variety of items, security solutions may have to be adapted. This will be addressed in this course also.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: In the security and public safety industry, an integral function of supervisors and human resource personnel is the effective scheduling of manpower resources. For instance, officers are to be scheduled for various shifts, days and times of the week, placed in various clients’ locations probably across the country, allocated based on the type of security services required whether armed officer, baton officer, canine, etc. This can be a very challenging exercise and requires appropriate expertise to manage such operations and ensure that the clients’ needs are satisfied as well as contractual obligations are met. The task also requires emergency rescheduling operations, for example, when officers are absent from work, late to work, fall ill, is on vacation, leaves the job, etc.

Matching officers’ capabilities, workload as well as contract obligations is a key element in human resource matters for security and public safety institutions. This course tackles all of these issues and more from a professional standpoint by sharing key principles, strategies and readily implementable solutions.
