COURSE DESCRIPTION: As warehouses and their contents are vital physical assets of companies, all steps must be instituted to ensure their safety. This course tackles firsthand what are the various security risks and threats that frequent warehouses be they internal and external vulnerabilities. These may include but are not limited to pilferage, theft and trespasses. Warehouses are also manned and operated by people who also need a level of protection. This will be addressed.

Further, the course delves heavily into the various strategies and techniques to prevent and manage such threats. This will include traditional, technological and management-related solutions. Given that warehouses can be used to store a wide variety of items, security solutions may have to be adapted. This will be addressed in this course also.

Importantly, the course will treat with pertinent issues such as design and layout solutions as other key security solutions as well as protocol issues to be adopted in management systems. The role of evidence and information for prosecution and staff education will also form critical components of this course.
