COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the essential elements in the (a) design and (b) implementation of an effective and efficient Fleet Safety Plan for companies. It goes through in a step-by-step manner the various procedures that ought to be followed in the design stage. Pertinent illustrations and examples will be presented in the training session whereby key components of any Fleet Safety Plan will be discussed. Further, practical exercises will be conducted as to the development of such plans. The second segment of this training involves the implementation of the plan. Major implementation challenges and their solutions will be covered in this course.

- Policy on motor vehicle safety
- The organization, its officers (e.g., management, supervisors, operators) and responsibilities
- Vehicle use
- Selection of drivers
- Reporting of accidents, incidents, and their analyses
