COURSE DESCRIPTION: It is a well known fact that Bullying and Cyber-Bullying destroy the lives of many youths every day, week, month, school term and school year!

The full potential of many of our children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends are not achieved as they are unfairly stifled and halted quite unfairly and illegally. This is painful suffering that needs urgent action, now!

In Trinidad and Tobago, there is the increased presence of Bullying, and more so nowadays, Cyber-Bullying, among the youth population due to a myriad of reasons. As a result, this causes insurmountable physical and psychological disruptions to the lives of youths and their caregivers. Believe it or not, these activities take place from pre-school through primary and secondary schools, and into tertiary institutions.

In this quite timely and much needed course, the nature of bullying and cyber-bullying and their terrifying impacts are dealt with in simple step-by-step ways for all to understand . The training provided clearly outlines ways in which occurrences can be identified by parents, teachers, counsellors, social workers, - all concerned parties - so that appropriate and timely action to treat or deal with it can be taken by relevant parties. Best practices and real life scenarios are presented as learning modules.

As part of this course, essential aspects of the relevant laws will be examined in layman’s terms. And, the critical use of technology to commit as well as to deal with bullying and cyber-bullying will be adequately addressed.
