COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

In all workplaces, there is conflict between employees, between employees and customers, and between employees and clients such as suppliers, business partners, etc. It is paramount that employees in organizations at all levels know how to effectively deal with such conflicts – not to fear it. As a result, this course will enable all participants to understand, appreciate and most importantly, practice the necessary tools in conflict management in various types of working environments. These conflict management techniques also have spill-over benefits in that participants can implement such enhanced behavioral modifications in their personal lifestyle to resolve conflicts at home, with friends, etc.

At the end of the course, participants will know how to use conflict in organizations when it occurs to produce positive results, improve performance, build stronger bonds, become innovative, etc. Powerful DOs and DONTS in conflict management will be shared so that participants will able to practice effective contemporary methods. In the literature, various writers have provided 4, 6, 8, 10, etc. steps in conflict management. This course will dissect all of these various steps and present simple “How to do” methods for organizations to implement without all of the fluff and stuff on conflict management. It will cut through the chase and present concisely and precisely what are key methods in conflict management that employees need to implement to address conflict when they arise.
